WORKSHOP ON JAVA
Under the initiative taken by GTU to start Open Source Technologies Club in
collaboration with Spoken Tutorial Project-IIT Bombay, Open Source Technologies
Club (OSTC) has been established at this institute.
Department of Computer Engineering organized a workshop on JAVA with the
help of IIT-Bombay Spoken Tutorial Team for Computer Engineering students of
Semester –V to boost the knowledge of JAVA among students. Total 19 students
participated in this workshop.
Ms. Meenakshi, the Expert from IIT, Bombay conducted the workshop online
through Skype. In the beginning she explained the aim and importance of Open
Source Software and Technologies. She explained in brief the overview of JAVA
and its importance in professional field.
All the participants had carefully watched videos on JAVA which were received
from Spoken Tutorial Project-IIT Bombay and preinstalled in the Computer
Systems.
At the end of workshop the Expert from IITB had taken the feedback from
participants. We are thankful to GTU And IITB Spoken tutorial team for such a
nice initiative. In future we will also conduct various workshops under OSTC.
