The Department of Science & Technology has been implementing a scheme “Science &
Technology for Women” with a v iew to empower women through inputs of Science and
Technology. Besides indiv idual projects for technology development, up gradation,
modulation and replication, the scheme also focuses on establishing Women Technology
Parks (WTP) that are envisaged to act as a resource centre where all necessary support is
made available to women from a single platform for improving the socio -economic quality of
life. As a part of the 12thFive Year Plan initiatives, the Department intends to establishmore
Women Technology Parksas per the conditions laid in theCall for Project Proposals
under Women Technology Park (WTP).
The format and guidelines for submitting the project proposal is available on the website of
DST (www.dst.gov.in) as well as on the website of SEED Div ision (www.scienceandsocietydst.org).
The project proposal completed in all respect may be submitted directly to
Mrs.SobhanaBhaskaran, Science for Equity, Empowerment & Development Div ision (SEED)
Department of Science &Technology,TechnologyBhavan, New MehrauliRoad,New Delhi –
110016 through proper channel and following the due procedure, under intimation to the
University. In case of any query, Dr.KongaGopikrishna, Scientist –“D”, SEED, Department of
Science & Technology, New Delhi may please be contacted. There will be no financial
