All Colleges, Institutions & Zonal offices are awre that Goverment of India has passed
the Act for differenty abled pepole called “Person with Disability act, 1995”
The Act provide for the provision for Barrier Free Access / Infrasturcture for Differently
abled people. As per Act, some infrasturcture are must for public builings which are like
below.
(1) General ramp to climb easily by wheel chair users at ground floor level is must.
(2) Lift to access for upper floors is must.
(3) Disable friendly toilet for gents & ladies separetely is must.
(4) Special parking for abled person’s vehicle must.
(5) Proper signage is to be provided.
(6) Proper reception counter of appropriate height is to be provided with wheel chair
facility and guide.
All are requested to create the above infrastructural facility as early as possible.
