collaboration with Spoken Tutorial Project-IIT Bombay. To take the benefit of this opportunity
we had established Open Source Technologies Club (OSTC) at our institute.

The Inaugural function of Open Source Technologies Club (GTU - OSTC) supported by Gujarat
Technological University initiated with warm welcome to all Executive committee Members and
Faculties. The function was started with the Motivational and Informative Audio - video Clip
prepared & provided by the Spoken Tutorial Project Team at IIT Bombay. V.V.P. Engineering
College has organized OSTC workshop on Libre Office suite Writer for faculties.
Dr. S. P. Parikh, Principal, V.V.P. Engineering College, addressed all the faculties through the
motivational speech and also boost up them to have more participation in the workshops and
make it huge success. He also mentioned the importance of open source technology as new
innovations like Cloud Computing and Grid Computing can be possible through open source
technologies. Prof. Radhika Kotecha did the anchoring for the programme.
