Workshop on LaTeX
LaTeX – A Document Preparation System
Now a days, LaTex is widely used for publications by Academicians and Researchers. Gujarat Technological
University’s Open Source Technologies Club organize one day workshop on Latex on 30th May 2015.
GTU Faculty Members and PG/PHD Students are invited to attend this workshop.

Session I (Approx. 2 hours)
Introduction to Latex, Installation, documentation structure, basic commands, sectioning, inserting figures & tables, complex
mathematical equation, cross references, Automatic generation of bibliographies and indexes, footnotes, hyperlinks.
Session II: Hands on practice (Approx. 2 hours)
Typesetting of IEEE conference/journal research paper, report writing.
Session III: How to make presentation in Latex (hands on session -2 hours)
Making presentation in latex using beamer
Interested PG Students/Faculties can apply for Workshop. No fees for GTU Students/Faculties.

Since limited seats are available, Kindly register at the earliest. Apply before 27/05/2015, 5:00PM. Selected Participants will get confirmation by
email on or before 28/05/2015, 5:00PM. Participants are advice to bring their Laptop with pre-installed Latex. All those Participants who will be
not able to install Latex, have to come to the venue on 30th May 2015 at 9:00am.Expert will help them into the installation process.
