Revised Circular
Gujarat Technological University has been revising the syllabus of Bachelor of Engineering
from the academic year 2013-14. It was decided as per the circular dated 12th March 2015
(Ref no: GTU/Acad/BE/2015/ 3433) that the students who have detained and will become
regular from next Semester (Semester V, New Syllabus) are required to study Design
Engineering I – A and I – B in current semester.
The rules for the same are mentioned as under:
For such students who will become regular in Sem V in the academic year 2015-16, backlog
for Design Engineering I A and I B will not be considered for the detention (for two attempts:
regular and 1st remedial). They have to clear the backlog of Design Engineering 1A and 1B
by odd semester of the academic year 2015-16. (i.e. backlog will be considered for the
detention from Summer 2016 examination).
