Solicits application for Emrranelment of Interested Technolow Business Incubators
to offer Minor/Specialization in Technologv Entrepreneurshin to Degree
Engineering students of Guiarat Technological Universitv.
Gujarat Technological University [GTU) is the only large technological university,
which has developed its own Student Start-up Policy. The Policy is based upon the
experience of GTU's own successful efforts and it has also drawn upon the best
practices from across India and abroad. The Policy document is available at

GTU is planning to award Special citation in Technology Entrepreneurship to Degree
Engineering students as an additional credential when a student team/startup does
the final year project in University affiliated Incubator and achieve certain milestone.
This will be an optional additional learning for the student in addition to his regular
Bachlor of Engineering Program. Proposed specialization in Technology
Entrepreneurship is a recognition granted to a team that reflects its ability to work
together in teams and produce measurable real world outcome. This is also to
recognize the entrepreneurial mindset of the teams and ability to make use of the
theoretical knowledge in a practical setting.
In pursuance of this Policy and to award additional credential based on optional
additional learning, this notice is issued to invite applications from Host Institutes of
Technology Business Incubators ITBI'sJ which are recognized by National Science
and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, Department of Science and
Technology, Government of India to apply to the University along with their
Government of India Sanction Order for Incubator to get empanelled with the
University either directly or through SPV specifically created for incubation and
entrepreneurship to accept GTU students and mentor them to earn
Specialization/Minor in Technology Entrepreneurship, The SPV may be a
subsidiary /jointventure/affiliate of the Host Institute. The empanelment will be nonexcusive and will be open throughout the academic year,
Application must mention (1) Comprehensive information about the incubator [2J
List of Mentors associated with the incubator [3J Faciliti es /Lab /W orkshop available
