Reception ceremony for IEP-2015 students at the Laurentian
University, Sudbury, Canada
A week passed as the GTU students have acquainted and assimilated the Laurentian
university. Time also saw us getting oriented properly and exploring the surroundings.
An informative reception ceremony was organized by Laurentian University for IEP students
on the first day (15th June, 2015) of their six weeks study period. Mr. Dominic
Giroux,President and Vice-Chancellor, Laurentian University; Dr. Robert Kerr, VicePresident Academic and Provost, Laurentian University, Dr. Osman Abou-Rabia, Dean of the
Faculty of Science, Engineering and Architecture remained present in the ceremony.
Faculty members Dr. KalpdrumPassi, Dr.Ratvinder Grewal, Dr. Sujeet Lohan from
Laurentian University and Dr.TejalGandhi from GTU were also present.
President warmly welcomed the fourth batch of GTU at the Laurentian University (LU); he
also took opportunity to congratulate students and gave his best wishes for their studies. He
also briefed about MOU between Laurentian university and Gujarat Technological
University.DrOsman Abou-Rabiaalso welcomedstudents and extended an invite to themfor
prospective higher studies at the University.
Reception was followed by delectable Indian cuisine.
