been
announced and a maximum of 15 Christchurch Educated Skills Scholarships valued at
NZD$10,000 each are available. Christchurch Educated Skills Scholarships programme is targeted
at Indian graduates wishing to study at post graduate level in Christchurch in specific disciplines
which are aligned to clearly identified skill shortage areas associated with the rebuilt programme
such as Construction, Engineering, Telecommunications, ICT and Science.
The programme is supported by Education New Zealand and the Canterbury Development
Corporation, the economic development agency of Christ church City Council. The Christchurch
Educated skills scholarships on offer are designed to address specific skills shortages and
therefore the approved courses of study associated with the programme are related to these
areas of need. Christchurch Educated Skills Scholarships are available to graduates of reputable
tertiary institutions in India who(a) Already hold an undergraduate qualification related to one of the identified skill shortage
areas (see the Canterbury Skill Shortage List:

(b) Are able to meet all student visa requirements in order to undertake postgraduate study

(c) Can obtain an offer of place for an approved programme of study from one of the
participating Christchurch tertiary institutions.
