Model & Poster Exhibition, 2014 at SAL Technical Campus
Models & Poster exhibition is a great way to engage the visitors and will help the students to think of
new ways to explain their research so that non expert audiences can understand. Posters can be used
as stand-alone methods to raise awareness or they can be used to draw an audience in and encourage
them to talk to or take part in a demonstration. SAL Technical Campus organized Model & Poster
Exhibition, 2014 on 2nd May, 2014 for Final year students, who exhibited their innovative projects to the
industry professionals, academicians & parents. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Director of SAL
Technical Campus Dr. Rupesh Vasani with the team of HOD’s , Industry professionals & Academicians of
various colleges. All the final year students with the help of faculties of respective departments had
arranged the posters with the live models in the exhibition. Students were given platform to
demonstrate their projects and were analyzed by the jury members consisting industry professionals
and academicians from several colleges. The jury members were the expert professionals from the
companies like ISRO, J P Research Ltd, Automation Engineers, Mark Engineers, Cube Construction
Engineering Ltd, Virtual Heights and so on. It also includes expert HOD’s from several colleges. Parents
appreciated the hard work of students. Best three projects of each department were acknowledged
with a token of appreciation and acknowledgement by the principal and HOD’s of the respective
department. The juries announced the winners on the basis of the innovation, the presentation etc.
The live projects were shown by the students which was very informative for industry professionals. J P
Research India Ltd evaluated 8 mechanical final year students & selected them for the job in their
company. Three HR representative - one from Ahmadabad office and two from Chennai office of the
company- specially visited the exhibition to screen the projects of the students. Eight students from
Mechanical Branch have been selected by the company and have been offered the job as Trainees in J P
Research India Ltd.
Mr Himanshu Jaiswal , Director of Virtual Heights offered jobs to a few students of Computer
Engineering Department on PHP, . NET and Android.
We would like to thank all our participants including students, Faculties, Placements cell, HOD’s,
industry experts and academicians to make this event a huge success. Especially we would thank
Gujarat Technological University for bringing this innovative idea of conducting the poster exhibition
which gives the students the platform to showcase their innovation, creativity, talent and job.
