1. Plagiarism
Verification:
Through
GTU
circular,
available
at
http://www.gtu.ac.in/circulars/14Apr/GuidelinesfortheOpen.pdf, the students were advised to
use any plagiarism software, to which they might have access. However OAPS, an open source
software was given as an example. It seems that OAPS site (on a US server) has been overloaded
due to the use by a large number of GTU students during a short time.
This should not be an issue since many such softwares are available on Internet.
Appendix 1 gives a list of such software. Please use any one of them (or any other
plagiarism verification software, available to you.)
2. Submission of PDE forms: PDE forms were to be generated and submitted through a
gtuinnovationcouncil web-site. This website has also become overloaded due to a large number
of log-ins at the last moment.
Due to heavy traffic on this IT platform if students face challenges to generate PDE
forms and acknowledgement certificate through the GIC web link, they can fill the data
offline in the given PDE format and attach it to the report by taking its print out. The soft
copy of the PDE forms in (.doc) file format for PDE exercise is given in Appendix 2.
N.B. Please note that every team must submit the data of the project and PDE online
also. However they may do it later on, when the traffic load on the GIC web-site is
reduced, even after exam is finished. The team can generate online submission certificate
when they submit, get it signed and attach to the spiral report, submitted to their Head of
Department.
