Building a team for Formula Student India (FS-IND) competition.
Gujarat Technological University has decided to build GTU team who can represent GTU in
Formula Student India Competition. GTU is thinking to create a consortium of student
representatives from various colleges for the above cause to build a university level team.
The college who believes in co-creation based innovation and technology development will
become a part of the above consortium by signing the MOA.
The agreed institution will nominate the best student representative/s to be part of
University team. University and the Advisor/Mentor Appointed by the university will finally
decide the team members who will represent the university team based on their
contribution, performance and relevance.
It is decided to appoint L. D. College of Engineering as host institute for the GTU team. L. D.
College of Engineering will provide all resources required to build the car like - Laboratory
and Workshop along with faculty advisor who will monitor the progress of this project.
While a central team will be constituted to look after the task step by step the teams at
various college levels may work with micro assignments as their academic or hobby
projects. College authorities of respective institutes will facilitate this process via their
existing infrastructure.
University want to make this project a huge co-creation based distributed design and
technology development. GTU Innovation Council (GIC) and other initiatives of GTU will
facilitate workshops for ideation, design, Technology Development and mentoring as
suggested and co-ordinated by the university team participating for the Event. This will
ensure huge number of students of branches like Mechanical, Automobile, Design &
Production, and Electronics related branches participate in this huge co-creation across
design cycle at various places. The Institutes/Students which may not be the part of MOA
may wish to contribute in this decentralized development process and that will be
welcomed.

A meeting is organized where Principal or HOD (Mechanical/Automobile) of the GTU
affiliated institutes who are willing to be a part of this consortium and sign the MoA are
invited. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the process of the selection of student
team members and how to make this a co-creation based distributed design and technology
development project.
