Announcement for Admission in Ph.D (Humanities and Sciences)-2013
Gujarat Technological University invites application from eligible candidates for admission in
Ph.D programme in Humanities, Mathematics and Sciences-2013 as a:
1. Full-time Research Scholar.
2. Part-time Research Scholar.
3. Independent Research Scholar.
The programme will commence from academic year 2013-14. The details of programmes,
eligibility criteria, selection procedure, duration of programmes, general procedure for
admission and registration, fee structure are available on the website www.gtu.ac.in
How to Apply:
The online application format is available on Student Corner of Gujarat Technological
University’s website www.gtu.ac.in. Candidates desired to apply for Ph.D entrance examination
should compulsorily submit their application only through online portal. No hand copy of the
application will be received by the University in any case.
Ph.D entrance examination for Humanities, Mathematics and Sciences programmes will be
announced shortly. Instructions for entrance examination to all candidates are as follows:
1. Examination shall be conducted OMR based.
2. Examination will be based on multiple choice questions (MCQ).
3. The question paper shall comprise of 100 multiple questions of 100 marks and duration
of examination shall be of 2 hours.
4. To pass an examination minimum qualifying marks shall be 50% for all courses.
5. The validity of student result shall be for 2 years from the date of declaration of result.
6. Syllabus, date of examination, examination fee etc. shall be as per circular of GTU dated
3rd June, 2013.
