GTU Automobile Research Group

Gujarat Technological University has a very strong program in Automobile Engineering and
is setting up a model for large Universities of India to promote Research through Networks
in geographically distributed academic institutions. "GT Motorsports" is a team built by GTU
to provide equal opportunity of innovation to every students studying at its affiliated
colleges. Recently 22 students from GTU's 12 affiliated colleges worked on a single project in
Hub and Spoke model where they built the parts of the project at various colleges and
finally assembled it at a centralized facility. In order to promote such activities and to
facilitate Research activities in Automobile Engineering; GTU has planned to form Research
groups for Automobile Engineering. Interested Faculty members and Research Scholars
working in these areas from GTU affiliated colleges are requested to register on the link
given above.
GTU will coordinate Research group activities and arrange regular brainstorming sessions,
Seminars, Workshops and google hangout meetings between these research group
members. GTU will work as a hub to support innovation and will bring in support of
experts/institutes/Government agencies from around the world to support research
activities of these research groups.
Registered faculties will be invited to join the first Google Hangout meeting call of this
research group on 17th March, 2015.
