Notice for Annual NSS Awards
Gujarat Technological University has been established with the aim of bringing excellence to technical
education in Gujarat. More than 500 institutes are affiliated with the University & more than 4.5 lac students are
studying in these institutes. For the overall development of students, participation in various extra-curricular
activities is offered by the university. The University is carrying out various activities like NSS, NCC, Sports & youth
welfare along with academic schedule of the University.
GTU has started NSS activities with 2000 vacancies. In the year 2014-15, GTU has 3000 vacancies in 58
institutions. University Advisory Committee of National Service Scheme has decided to encourage activities
carried out by the NSS Units & NSS Volunteers through awards. University is inviting nominations for the year 201415 in the following categories.

Kindly send nomination of the NSS Volunteer, Program Officer & Report of your NSS unit on
[email protected] on or before 16th May 2015. Nomination of NSS Volunteer & PO shall be considered
only when Annual Report of respective NSS unit is attached with the nomination
