The workshop was conducted with 10 faculty members and 90 students participant. The inaugural function started with a warm welcome speech of Principal Prof. Archana Nanoty and prayer to Almighty for the success of this venture. This was followed by felicitation of Principal and chief guest. An awareness speech about the program initiative was given by Principal. After the inauguration, audio video clip was shown to the audience. There was theory as well as practical session on Linux Operating System by Prof Saritha Vivaniya Department of Information Technology Charusat, Changa. The purpose of this workshop was to spread awareness about open source technology by providing complete information about Linux Operating System. In the current world of license software’s, workshop on open source Linux server training was information-packed of Linux training filled with hands-on exercises , live demonstrations, explanations, and real-world examples. This is the perfect way to learn Linux operating system and open source software in quickly. In just Five hours, we learn Linux system from basic usage to more advanced topics including web services, mail services, and other network services. From this workshop we learn the hidden commands used by Linux and UNIX pros to run their systems at top performance. In this workshop, participants saw the best ways to monitor and optimize systems. They learn how to customize the Linux logging facility to provide exactly the information, need to fine tune and troubleshoot our Linux system. Participants also learn how to integrate Linux systems and how to use desktop services for users as well as how to share resources in a Linux network by extending the file system from one machine to another. For anyone who wants to learn Linux, but just doesn't have the time, these 5-hours, hands-on Linux workshop is perfect solution for them.
