Report
On the day of 10th March 2014, Monday, Inauguration of GTU Mobile and Wireless
Technologies Club (MWTC) were held at Gardi Vidyapith.
Main aim of GTU-MWTC is to provide exposure to emerging cutting edge technologies of
mobile application development, adequate training & opportunities to work in a team or
individual on multidisciplinary projects and work for betterment of society and education.
The Chairman of Gardi Vidyapith Shri D. V. Mehta, Executive Director of Gardi Vidyapith Prof. S.
B. Jadeja, HOD of MCA Department Prof. V. A. Gandhi, HOD of CSE/IT Department Prof. Yatin
Shukla, Mr Nandan Goda the Owner of GTech, Rajkot, Mr Nayan Bagiya the Director of Skyweb
Tech, Mr Ashwin Borad, Director of Skyweb Tech, Rajkot were present as Chief Guest in
inaugural function.
Encouraging speech given by Shri D. V. Mehta, the Chairman of Gardi Vidyapith on the day of
inauguration.
On the same day, Hackathon of 8 hours was held for the selection of the student coordinator of
MWTC from entire college.
MWTC Committee members were announced by Prof. Milan Vachhani, (Assistant Professor,
MCA Department) the Overall coordinator of MWTC.
Hackathon event is judged by Mr Tejas Jasani, CEO of TheAppGuruz, Rajkot. Mr Tejas Jasani and
his team have declared the winner. Mr Mrugesh Tank is winner of Hackthon and Main Student
Coordinator of MWTC, Gardi Vidyapith
More than 120 students joined the MWTC.
Students mentioned that they expect the department to conduct more such Hackathon type of
event in future. Students were optimistic that outcome will help them in future for making final
year projects. Entire workshop was efficiently carried out by faculty coordinators Prof. Milan
Vachhani and Executive Committee Member Prof. Prashant Mehta.
