GTU innovation Council is bringing in new interventions every week to support needy students at
various stages of innovation entrepreneurship. We have modularised various hands-on learning
workshops so that our budding student entrepreneurs may be able to acquire the best possible skillsets, which enable our students to innovate and develop technology-based student start-ups. It has
been see that given a proper hand-holding and technology-support students are capable enough to
design new products and students start-ups even in their college days. While this trend has been
prevalent across the European and American universities, GIC has pioneered it at an affiliating-type
university systems like GTU. While a large majority of professional students in India are connected to
various state tech universities, there has not been any proven template for creating student start-up
movement at such universities. We, at GTU Innovation Council, are taking grassroots level measures by
drawing upon the best practices across universities. We are developing roadmaps for the next
generation pedagogic interventions for helping grow student start-ups.
We have designed two different and unique modules to train students having entrepreneurial
inclination. Any student from the colleges, affiliated with GTU, from any stream can participate in these
workshops.
