192 Students find jobs of their liking.
A PRESS NOTE for TIMES OF INDIA
A GTU Innovation Sankul Recruitment Drive ‘GTU-IS-JOBFAIR-2013’ for the final year
students of Engineering , MBA and MCA was organized in Bharuch City for the first time. The
Event was held at SVM Institute of Technology-SVMIT, the oldest college of Bharuch and also
at Government Engineering College-GEC,Bharuch on 15th and 16th March 2013. The event was

jointly organized by nine professional colleges under the umbrella of GTU Innovation SankulAnk-Bharuch.
Thirty two companies participated in the event and interviewed about 600 shortlisted
students , who were having CPI of more than 6.5. At the end of this JOB-Fair, 192 students
were recruited in different companies. Many Corporate Companies from Dahej, Ankleshwar,
Zagadia , Panoli and Bharuch Industrial Estates had accepted Invitation for participation.
Hindalco, Hubach, UPL, Rallis, Flomatic, Techanoforge and Cheminova are some of the major
companies who had recruited fresh talent.
The event was inaugurated by Shri V V Thakur , V P of Birla Copper. Group.Capt Chitre, the
Executive director for Heubach and VP of BDMA was the Chief Guest at the event. Both the
dignitaries advised the students and were delighted to express “This event is an attempt to bring
employer and employees on one platform. There are jobs available in our region but such an
event is required to address the needs of both the employer and employee .”
In the welcoming address by the director of SVMIT and Co-Chairman of Sankul , Dr Jivrajbhai
Patel said “ We believe that this Job-Fair will offer an excellent opportunity to Industries of this
region to identify talented jobseekers, from the local Institutions, for their staffing
requirements”. He appreciated the team of Prof. Dr Ragesh , Prog Sharda, Prof Dhoshi, Prof
Thanki, Prof Kalthiya and others to make this event a grand success.
Principal of SVMIT, Dr Ragesh described the arrangements of the event and introduced the
participating Institutions.
Among the dignitaries present at the function were Shri Mukulbhai Thakore, Chairman of
SVMIT, Prof R N Shukla, Principal of Govt. Engineering College, Shri Dalachaval, Principal of
A Y Dadabhai Institute, Kosamba.
At the end of the two days’ event, 192 recruited students were thrilled for the opportunity
provided to them. Institutes are elated to see the success of their dream project. Industries are
pleased to find the needed talent from the local Institutions. In short GTU Sankul -JOB-FAIR
2013 turned out to be a WIN-WIN platform for all stake holders.
