Developing Mobile Applications
GTU Board for Mobile Computing and Wireless Technologies has been organizing Workshops
for learning Mobile Application Development since June 20, 2011. A new set of 2-day
Workshops at week-ends are planned in GTU Colleges across the State.
The first set of Workshops on Android will cover the following features:






Activity, Service, Broadcast Receiver
SQLite, Email/SMS, Location
XML/JSON & Web Services
Contacts Content Provider
Targeting Multiple Screen Resolutions
Best Practices
Application development process will be covered by experienced Trainers from DEV IT Solutions
(http://www.devitsolutions.com/).
If your College wants to organize such a Workshop, the Principal/Director should mail us at
[email protected] before 15th March 2012.
Requirements to organize workshops at your college:
 LAB with up to 100 systems or laptop with Android/Eclipse installed.
 LCD Projector.
The first Workshop is likely to be conducted on 31st March-1st April 2012.
Every Workshop will be announced on GTU web-site with the Workshop Co-coordinator’s
e-mail address. Any GTU faculty and student may apply for the Workshop and seats will be
allocated on a first-cum-first-serve-basis.
