In Pursuit of Excellence
IEEE AP/MTT Joint Chapter, Gujarat Section and Antenna Test &
Measurement Society (ATMS) proudly announces a Public Lecture on
“Space Exploration Driven by “Curiosity”
By
Dr Goutam Chattopadhyay
Jet Propulsion Labroratory, NASA, USA
The rover Curiosity touched down on the surface of Mars on August 5, 2012.
It was built to conduct an investigation of modern and ancient habitable
environments. This broad and diverse payload, coupled with a rich field site
at Gale Crater, already has established the importance of water in shaping
the geology and geochemistry around the landing area, addressed longstanding questions regarding Mars' atmospheric composition and evolution,
and made serendipitous discoveries not anticipated from orbital data
studied prior to landing.
You are cordially invited to attend this lecture on 30th July, 2014 at
AMA, Vastrapur at 05:30 PM. Further you are requested to take your
seats well in advance to avoid disappointment.
With warm regards,
