Grand Challenges of Engineering”. The Regional workshops will be a preparation for the
Indian Student Forum ISF 2015 to be held in Bangalore, India on January 5 and 6, 2015.
ISF 2015 will have the same theme. ISF 2015 will precede the Second International

These regional workshops will help develop regional voice of students with respect to the
topic, and help them in creating action plans which can be implemented locally, resulting in
real time projects. The workshop duration is 3 days. The first day starts in the morning and
includes a ice breaking session, few group activities and introduction to the theme of the
workshop. The second day starts with a presentation on the importance of action plan
development followed by development of action plans by the participants by exploring the
theme and involves presentation of the action plans by various groups to the peer of the
colleges. The third day will have participants presenting their action plans and conclude by
evening. Participants are expected to spend the nights at the location. The workshops are
facilitated by 3 experienced SPEED members from across the country.
You are invited to send a team of 5 to 7 students from your college to one of
these IUCEE-SPEED workshops. Participants can be from B.Tech 2nd and 3rd year and
M.Tech 1st year. SPEED requests that the student’s participants attending the workshops
display the following characteristics: leaders in local student organizations, socially
motivated, communication inclined professional students with ambitions to change the
