Nomination for the position of Deans at Gujarat Technological University
The University is working for its world-class doctoral programs, for raising the quality of the Master’s
theses in Engineering & Pharmacy, and, for enriching the practical component of Master’s programs in
Pharmacy and of its Master’s programs in Engineering. For this purpose a number of initiatives are
being taken and the quantum of work has increased. Hence it has been decided to strengthen the
Council of Deans by appointing additional Deans for the following faculties.
1. Engineering
2. Management
3. Pharmacy
The number of Deans to be appointed is as follows:
1. MBA: Two Deans for the following zone:
(i) Surat
(ii) Ahmedabad
2. Deans for the Post-graduate Programs:
Till now the University has only one Senior Dean for managing its following Post-graduate
programs:
a) A large number of ME and M Pharm programs including the management of
GTU’s Master’s programs
b) Doctoral Programs in Engineering, Pharmacy, Management and Computer
Applications.
Additional Post-graduate Deans may be appointed for the following areas:
i. Mechanical Engineering & Textiles Engineering
ii. Electrical & Electronics Engg including Instrumentation & Control, Computer Science
and Engineering,IT
iii. Chemical, Environmental Engineering, Rubber & Plastics
iv. Pharmacy.
The University invites nominations/ Self nomination for the above mentioned six posts.
