A meeting on
Designing Structure of Technological Universities
on August 18th, 2012 at 10:30 am
at Government Circuit House Annexe , Shahibag, Ahmedabad.
Vision:
To make GTU a hub of research, technology and entrepreneurship.
To develop new innovative and revolutionary ways to make GTU a world class
university.
To change the educational system, in such a way that it serves the needs of the people
of Gujarat
Mission:
To create institutes and centers of excellence to impart state of the art education,
training and research in the field of Science, Technology and Management in general.
To create capabilities to develop knowledge, skill and competence at various levels.
To create capabilities to upgrade infrastructure of global standards for education,
raining and research in the areas related to Engineering, Technology and Sciences.
To provide inter-relationship for national and international participations in the fields
of Science, Engineering, Technology and Management.
To establish close linkages with industries in order to make teaching, training and
research at the University, relevant to the needs of industries at national and
international levels.
To develop opportunities for Inter constituent collaboration: e.g. between MBA and
Engineering students.
Objectives of this Project:
To develop a system of Governance by which GTU is able to integrate education, training
and research in its four disciplines namely Engineering, Pharmacy, Management and
Computer Application at the level of Diploma, Degree, Post Graduation and Research.

To identify those organizational components which are needed to pursue the objective of
GTU and to monitor its activities related to admission, education, training, research,
industry interaction, inter institute collaboration and international collaborations.
To sensitize the members in all the institutions at all levels and to encourage them to put
in their best efforts in making GTU a World Class Technological University.
