Dear Sir /Madam,
You may be aware that it is a mandatory regulatory requirement that all
institutions using radiation sources maintain and update the inventory of all the
radiation sources available in their institution and send periodic reports to AERB
about their present status.
Departments located in your campus as well as some of the academic
institutions/research centers under the domain of your University lAuthority may
also be in possession of radiation sources for various research, teaching /training
purposes. We are sincerely looking fonvard for your co-operation in identifying
and reaching out to all such departments
/
institutions and advise them to
prepare updated inventory of radiation sources, and submit the same to this
office.
ln case any department / institution do not possess any
radioactive
source, they should be advised to send a'NlL'report to AERB.
Moreover, it will be highly appreciated if a copy of the addresses, phone
fax numbers and e-mail of all the institutions, departments and
concerned responsible persons for handling of radiation sources under your
