 Gujarat Technological University Ahmedabad, Gujarat Minutes of Meeting of Vishwakarma Yojna The Second meeting of Implementation committee of Vishwakarmayojna with the nodal officers of the project was held on 22nd September 2012 at 2 pm at the conference room of Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad. The meeting was chaired by Dr Akshai Aggarwal, HonourableVice Chancellor, and GTU. Dr.Gitesh Joshi, Registar, GTU and Prof.Indrajit N Patel, BBIT, V V Nagar and 28 Nodal officers from different institutions attended the meeting. Ms.Usha Banker‐OSD and Ms Naheda Chhuvara‐DEO remained present to assist. The Agenda of the meeting was to work out further steps for implementation of Vishwakarma Yojna project and analysis of survey reports submitted by the nodal officers At the outset Prof.Indrajit N Patel, BBIT, V V Nagar welcomed all the committee members and nodal officers of various colleges. He started the meeting withbriefing the objectives of vishwakarma yojna project. He conveyed that under Vishwakarma Yojna 42 colleges are assigned to adopt the project work of 85 villages, out of which we have received the survey reports of 24 colleges and 8 colleges are on the way to submit the project survey report. There were 10 colleges who were not able to participate for the same due to some technical reasons. Mr. Indrajit Patel discussed the problems of different colleges with nodal officer who were present one by oneand almostsolved the queries/difficulties of them.Mr. Indrajit Patel has taken the responsibility of preparing action plan and work plan for implementation of Vishwakarma Yojna which will be circulated through website to all. Honourable Vice Chancellor and Registrar appreciated the efforts of all the nodal officers for implementation of Vishwakarma Yojna. As asked by all present in the meeting it was decided that GTU will organise an orientation programme/seminar for the students as well as for the nodal officers to impart them the knowledge about Vishwakarma Yojna in the mid of October‐2012. This programme will be organised zone wise and the schedule of the same will be planned very soon with the consent of nodal officer. In this programme few of subject experts will be invited to impart the knowledge. We will also invite sarpanches, Taluka Development Officer and District Development Officers. Dr. Gitesh Joshi informed all that the matter of payment of stipend to the students will be finalised by Govt. Of Gujarat before 31 st September‐2012 and will be informed to all via circular on GTU website Dr Akshai Aggarwal, Honourable Vice Chancellor, GTU insisted nodal officer to visit Model village of their area. It was decided in the meeting that GTU will confirm once again the names of the students participating in Vishwakarma Yojna with the nodal officers and the same list will be sent to the examination department as it is part of IDP.
