Chairman Smith called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m.
In attendance: Mr. Smith-Chairman, Mr. Vetrano-Secretary/Treasurer, Mrs. Bain, Dr. Andrews, Mr. Scanlan,
Mr. Leppert, Dr. Lamonte, Mr. Aramini, Judge Parker and Dr. Mazur.
The following topics were reported and discussed:

















AAS Criminal Justice Program has been approved.
Cabling project has gone out to bid.
Solar project will begin in August.
Department of Labor Unemployment Program has begun.
Received $35k back pension payment from state.
Received first installment payment for the fire damage.
Have received positive feedback regarding the Career Focus publication.
Negotiations with bargaining units are progressing.
Uncertain but hopeful regarding state bonding bill, which has been discussed in depth at the state
wide meeting for presidents.
There is potential for the Health Sciences program to grow.
Jenzabar and Datatel conversations taking place, with possible upgrades to the system.
Middle States Periodic Report moving along. It is not due until June of 2013. Big concern is our
financial position. Hoping for a clean audit report by the time the report is due.
Enrollment continues to decline -16%-18%. In addition to county demographics, federal financial aid
requirements may be playing a role in the decline.
Physical size of classrooms inhibits some cost savings through larger class sizes.
Fund balance is low.
No additional money from Sussex County, which held us flat for next year.
Additional opportunities for funding and improving the financial situation were discussed.
Meeting adjourned at 8:13 upon unanimous vote.
