Diabetes 101: Taking Control Do you or a family member have prediabetes or diabetes? If so, this free workshop is for you! Diabetes is unlike other diseases/conditions, such as cholesterol and hypertension, which can often be treated by medication alone. This class will make you more aware of diabetes’s causes, what it takes to treat the disease, and gives you the power to control it. Presenters: Beth Sutton Burke, Wegmans’ pharmacist, and Susan Figaro Grace, Better Me Wellness registered dietitian, are teaming up to offer this program. Next Steps: After attending this program, interested participants will be invited to meet with Beth or Sue for individualized lifestyle coaching. These sessions will include the AADE7 Self Care Behaviors: Healthy Eating, Being Active, Monitoring, Taking Medication, Problem-Solving, Reducing Risks and Healthy Coping. They will help you set priorities and problem-solve to improve your diabetes control.
