WORKSHOP ON “TAEKWONDO”
TOPIC: PROTECTION OF WOMEN AGAINST SOCIAL EVILS
GIRLS COMMITTEE is undertaking different activities to work
towards ensuring that every girl student gets protection in their whole life.
On 09/03/2012- Friday, S.T.B.S. College has organized one workshop
on “TAEKWONDO”, the Korean martial arts. The topic of workshop was
“PROTECTION OF WOMEN AGAINST SOCIAL EVILS”.
In this workshop, the seminar was given by Mr. Pamir Shah (General
Secretary, Surat District Taekwondo Association) and his team members
Miss Foram Desai and Miss Tanvi Khandelwal.
This presentation contains
1. How to protect yourself at day trapping?
2. How to protect yourself for domestic abuse?
3. How to protect yourself against rape?
Also organized demo for protection of Girls with the instruments (like
pen, hair pin, setsquare, safety pin, stone, water bottle etc.) which can be with
them at time of incidents & at the end of workshop female faculty members
and girls students shared their experience about the workshop.
WORKSHOP has became worthy for girls with the help of Prof. Y. S.
Choupare, Principal of S.T.B.S. College, Mrs. Payal V. Shah, Head of Girls
Committee,& committee members (Miss Madhuri Shingala, Miss Avadhuta
S. Trivedi, Mrs. Sonali Kherde, Mrs. Sejal Pastagiya) & also with the help of
all female faculty members.
