GTU has introduced S4 Extension Center initiative for all the GTU affiliated colleges.
The maiden event of S4 Extension Center at Marwadi Education Foundation Group of
Institutions brought 11 start-up CEOs to interact with more than 650 students of the campus.

Eleven start-up CEOs lead by E-chai community interacted with all students of MEFGI (Marwadi
Education Foundation Group of Institutions), Rajkot on 3rd October 2013. The target audience
was all the students (Engg., MBA, MCA) and faculties of MEFGI. The seminar was organized with
the aim to motivate and develop entrepreneurship culture on MEFGI campus.
It was a 3:30hr long event for which the host institute had an amazing line-up of young and
dynamic entrepreneurs to interact with the audience:

Many of the speakers were purposefully invited from Rajkot so that in future students can get
in touch with them quickly whenever they need any suggestion or help from them.
The event was extremely successful. The expected audience for the event was about 200-300
people. But it was attended by around 650 students! It was largest such event at Saurashtra.
Thanks to Jatin Chaudhary from E-chai and others who extended all possible support in making
it happen. The success of the event can also be gauge from the number of students who were
glued to their seats till the end of this 3:30hrs seminar. More than 300 students skipped their
lunch for the events The event was started in the jam packed seminar hall by the motivating
lecture of Dr. Y P Kosta. He talked on the importance of idea and ideation. Later, all the
speakers took their turn to share their experience of their entrepreneurial journey. They talked
on numerous topics which are very important for any starter. Topics discussed were, but not
limited to, their first sale, their first investor, family pressure, social pressure, planning, saving,
passion, determination, USP of their products. This S4 extension center vows to play crucial role
in shaping student start up ecosystem at Saurashtra.
