In compliance to GTU letter regarding starting of Open Source Technologies Club (OSTC), Dr. B.
B. A. Govt. Polytechnic, Karad (DP) with the technical help from Spoken-Tutorial Team IIT
Bombay successfully organized an inaugural workshop on 24/10/2013 under guidance of
Workshop Organizer Dr. Bhagwanjee Jha, Ph. D. (IIT Bombay), Lecturer (Selection Grade) in Civil
Engineering in association with Shri S. Chennappa, Lecturer in Computer Engineering.

The workshop was inaugurated by the Additional Secretary, (Tech.Edn)/Director Education,
Dadra and Nagar Haveli in presence of Dr. (Ms) J. B. Rana, the Principal (I/C) of the Institute.
Furthermore, the Institute looks forward to prepare a calendar of workshops for the coming
semesters from Jan 2014 onwards in connection to the relevant subject as per the course
curriculum in the term work/lab durations for all students.
