Open Source Technologies Club (OSTC)
To take benefit of GTU OSTC initiative, Shri S’ad Vidya Mandal Institute of Technology, Bharuch Gujarat,
had set up an Open Source Technologies Club (OSTC) in collaboration with Team Spoken-tutorial, IIT
Bombay. Our College is also GTU OSTC Nodal Centre for Ankleshwar-Bharuch Sankul and Prof.
Prof.Ashish D. Patel is GTU OSTC Nodal Centre Coordinator. For OSTC, we received good support from
our college which will help us to boost membership figures further.

Workshops were conducted under guidance of Prof.Ashish D Patel (Coordinator) and Prof. Himaxi M
Patel(Co-Coordinator)O Department of CSE/IT
Our OSTC is working to attract more faculties, non-teaching staff members and students from our
college. We are very much impressed with the enthusiasm shown by all participants and also the efforts
taken by supporting staff members. We really want to reach out to maximum students & faculty
members. We want to make the whole of SVMIT open source software literate.
We had also given training to 15 administrative and non-teaching staff members on Open Office
software.
