The STTP is aimed at increasing the interest of
Students, faculty members and industry
professionals in the subject so that teachers can
disseminate the knowledge to their students in a
much better way. Experts who have worked on
latest wireless technologies and mobile
application development will share their
experience which will be very useful to the
students and faculty of UG and PG courses in EC,
IT and Computer Engineering.
Other eminent faculties and research experts from
educational institutes and industries will also deliver the
lectures and will conduct hands on laboratory sessions
About the Venue – VGEC Chandkheda
Vishwakarma Government Engineering Collage (VGEC) is a
State Governed institution offering multi discipline
post-graduate and undergraduate programmes in
engineering, recognized by All India Council of Technical
Education (AICTE), New Delhi. This institute
is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU),
Ahmedabad.

The short term training programme mainly
aims at the subjects on wireless technologies
and their applications. The course content is
designed in such a way that it gives a chance
to participants to have hands-on to learn in
the lab sessions too. Mainly the target topics
covers Symbian, Android, iPhone and WP7 for
Mobile Devices and a bunch full of practical
sessions on developing mobile applications
using various technology platforms like Qt,
WRT, PyS60 on Symbian and Android devices.

Target Group
This is an era of Wireless Technologies and
Mobile Applications. We use extensively these
technologies in our day to day life. Major
branches of EC, IT, CE and MCA have subjects
on these in their curriculum. Hence, target
audience/participants for the STTP are faculty
members of EC, IT, CE and MCA of GTU
affiliated degree engineering and MCA
colleges. However, preference will be given to
the faculty who are involved in teaching of these
subjects and having at least one year of
teaching experience.

There is no registration fee for the GTU affiliated
colleges, however participant has to send DD in favor
of “Gujarat Technological University”, payable at
Ahmedabad to avoid false registration and confirmation,
which will be returned back at the end of the program.
GTU will take care of the training cost as well as lunch,
tea‐ coffee and snacks during sessions.
Accommodation to the faculty members will be
arranged on request. Student participants have to
arrange accommodation on their own.
GTU Faculty Participants: Rs.500/-(will be refunded back)
Industry Participants: Rs.2500/Student Participants: Rs.100/- (will be refunded back)
Non-GTU Faculty Participants: Rs.500/-

How to apply
Interested participants are requested to
complete the attached registration form. After
due sponsorship (for faculty), it should reach
us on or before 15th June 2011. All faculties
participants are informed to bring relieving
order from their respective Principal at the
time of registration. Without this reliving
order they will not be registered for this STTP.
Candidate should also send dully filled
scanned copy (with DD) of the registration
