Rules for breaking tie among contenders for Medal

The Criteria for Determination of Medal Winners under tie conditions, for various
programs affiliated to GTU, are as under:
1. The student with highest CGPA who has passed all the semester exams without
backlog.
2. If CGPA of more than one student is equivalent then the students with higher CPI is
eligible for medal.
3. If CGPA and CPI are equivalent then based on external theory and external practical
marks of last four semesters eligibility for medal is to be considered.
4. If the marks as per criteria 3 is equivalent then based on external theory and external
practical marks of all semester eligibility for medal is to be considered.
