RECENT RESEARCH IN ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY
Held on
26th and 27th February 2015
Dr. Jivraj Mehta Institute of Technology, Mogar organized its ‘1st
National Conference on Recent Research in Engineering & Technology’
(NCRRET-15) on 26th and 27th February 2015. The conference was
organized for Electrical Engineering Department, Electronics and
Communication Engineering Department, Civil Engineering Department,
Mechanical Engineering Department and Computer Science Engineering
Department.
The aim of the conference was to provide a platform for academicians,
research scholars, practicing managers and students to develop,
contribute and present technical papers in Engineering field. The event
helped in bringing together experts from industry and academia to
meet, discuss, and share views and experiences on various recent
technical topics and challenges of today’s world.
The participants were from different states of the Country viz.
Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
The supporters of the events included IEEE, Walchand College of
Engineering and International Journal of Advance Engineering and
Research Development (IJAERD).

REGISTRATION:
The registration began from 9:30 a.m. onwards on both the days.

On both days of the conference total of 96 participants were registered
including participants from in and around Gujarat and also from the
organizing institute.
Spot registration was also available for participants on both days of the
conference.
All registered participants received the Kit including CD of the
conference proceedings.
INAUGURATION FUNCTION:
The inauguration session began with welcome to all the dignitaries on
the dais.

Dignitaries on the dais addressed the conference with their views and
opinions.
WELCOME SPEECH:
Welcome speech was given by Prof. Dr. Archana S Nanoty, Principal,
DJMIT. She briefed about the very purpose of organizing the 1st National
Conference and welcomed all the dignitaries.

INAUGURAL SPEECH BY DIGNITARIES:
Chief Guest, Mr. P. V. Raghvan, in his inaugural speech, emphasized on
the importance of research in engineering disciplines. He depicted the
very appealing example of a pencil which resembles to the researchers
in engineering field. He quoted that they should always be ready to get
sharpened to become internally strong and willing for rework. He also
quoted that researcher should be able to make a mark and should be
easily adaptable to external forces. During his speech he also elaborated
the importance of safety. He quoted various days of February month
relating with the dates of the conference. He also wished that the
participants keep in their mind the role model of Dr. Jivraj Mehta who
felt the importance of research and who gauged the fundamental
importance of research in medical education. He congratulated DJMIT
for organizing such event.
Guest of Honor, Dr G V Parishwad elaborated the best practices for the
research orientation of the engineering institutes. He emphasized on
the academic development of the faculty members along with the
students as well. He also stressed on the practical knowledge oriented
project work by students to have enhanced Industry-InstituteInteraction. He appreciated the growth and efforts at DJMIT by
organizing such events and also praised for future endeavors. He
imparted a lucid message on the safety and measurement and wished
the success of the conference.
SPEECH BY GUEST OF HONOUR DR. G. V. PARISHVAD AND PROF. N. MARATHE
Prof. Narayan Marathe, emphasized on research with a different
perspective. He urged that everybody should have desire to do the
useful research. He motivated the participants by probing into the
process of research.
Hon. Chairman of CENT and DJMIT, Shri Narendra Shrimali concluded
the session by his inspirational guidance about the research followed by
search, thereby ensuring the practical implementation of the research
outcomes. He congratulated principal madam and the entire team of
DJMIT for taking such initiative in the direction of progress.

Session I: Keynote Address
Prof Anant Deogaonkar of Electrical Department introduced the
Keynote Speaker for Keynote Address by Dr. K. K. Thakkar, Director, JSL,
Mogar.
Dr. K. K. Thakkar presided over the session as a Keynote Speaker. He
guided and emphasized the importance of research in industry and in
academics. He emphasized that the academic development should not
stop only at research level or Ph.D. but should be converted into patent
filing as well as commercial use ensuring employment generation. He
highlighted on recent research and significance of research in the areas
like defense, industry and academics during his energetic presentation.

Vote of thanks for the Keynote Address Session was proposed by Prof
Anant Deogaonkar.
Session II: EEE Research Paper Presentation
Prof. Jagdish Solanki started the session with welcome and introduction
of the Session Chair Prof. Dr. Archana S. Nanoty, Principal, DJMIT.
Participants presented research papers in various fields of Electrical
Engineering including renewable energy, power system, power
protection, micro-controller, interfacing, artificial intelligence, image
processing, power electronics, robotics, etc. during this session. Around
38 research papers were received from various parts of the country,
out of which 30 were selected.
Session III: EEE Research Paper Presentation
After a brief Tea Break, participants continued presenting the research
papers on various topics. Total 8 papers were presented in this session.
Session Chair appreciated efforts of the participants in presenting
research papers. Certificates were awarded including Conference
Certificate and IJAERD Certificate to the conference participants by
Session Chair Prof. Dr. Archana Nanoty, Principal, DJMIT.

On 26th February 2015
Session I: ME Paper Presentation
Prof. Shailee Jain started the session with welcome and introduction of
the Session Chair Prof. P. N. Dabhi, Director-HR, Mr. Heemanshu
Parmar, Director-Ops. Honorable Chariman, Shri Narendra Shrimali also
gave a boost to the participants with his gracious presence during both
the sessions.
Participants presented research papers in various fields of Mechanical
Engineering including Thermal Science, Production Engineering, Design,
Heat Exchanger, CAD, optimization, Industrial Engineering, etc. during
this session. Around 20 research papers were received from various
parts of the country, out of which 12 were selected.
Session II: ME Paper Presentation
After a brief Tea Break, participants continued presenting the research
papers on various topics. Total 4 papers were presented in this session.
Session Chair appreciated participants for presenting research papers.
Session concluded with Certificates distribution including Conference
Certificate and IJAERD Certificate to the conference participants by
Session Chair Prof. P. N. Dabhi and Chairman Shri Narendra Shrimali.

On 27th February 2015
Session I: Keynote Address
The 2nd Day of Conference began with welcome to all the dignitaries on
the dais. The dignitaries present were Keynote Speaker, Mr. Hemant
Vasavada, GATE Academy, Vadodara, Honourable Chairman, CENT and
DJMIT, Shri Narendra Shrimali and Prof. Dr. Archana S. Nanoty, Principal,
DJMIT. All the dignitaries were welcomed florally by various dignitaries
of the institute and were presented mementoes as a token and
memory of the conference from the college.
Prof Neelam Prajapati introduced the chief guest on this occasion
before his speech.
Mr. Hemant Vasavada shared importance of electrical safety in day-today life. From his vast experience in this field in and outside India, he
shared his practical experiences of electrical safety. He detailed about
the technical aspect of the electrocution, it’s probable causes and
preventive measures depicting his own experiences from Industry in
and outside India.

Session II: CE Research Paper Presentation
Prof. Jagdish Solanki started the session with welcome and introduction
of the Session Chair Prof. Dr. Harshad Dalwadi and Dr. Nanak Pamnani
of Civil Department, DJMIT.
Paper presentation of various participants was done in various fields of
Civil Engineering including hydraulic and water engineering, highway
and material engineering, construction management, structural and
concrete engineering, etc. during this session. Around 47 research
papers were received from various parts of the country, out of which
30 were selected.
Session III: CE Research Paper Presentation
After a brief Tea Break, participants continued presenting the research
papers on various topics. Total 10 papers were presented in this session.
Session Chair appreciated efforts of the participants in presenting
research papers. Certificates were awarded including Conference
Certificate and IJAERD Certificate to the conference participants by
Session Chair.

On 27th February 2015
Session I: CSE Research Paper Presentation
Prof. Shailee Jain started the session with welcome and introduction of
the Session Chair Prof. Yoothika Patel, Head- CSE Dept and Prof. Arpit
Mehta, TPO and faculty of CSE Department.
Paper presentation of participants was done in various fields of
Computer Engineering including data mining, data warehousing,
software engineering, big data, wireless and mobile computing, etc.
during this session. Around 24 research papers were received from
various parts of the country, out of which 24 were selected.
Session Chair appreciated efforts of presentation by participants in their
research topics. Session concluded with Certificates distribution
including Conference Certificate and IJAERD Certificate to the
conference participants by Session Chair.
Session II: CSE Research Paper Presentation
After a brief Tea Break, participants continued presenting the research
papers on various topics. Total 9 papers were presented in this session.
Session Chair appreciated efforts of the participants in presenting
research papers. Certificates were awarded including Conference
Certificate and IJAERD Certificate to the conference participants by
Session Chair.
CONCLUDING STATEMENT:
NCRRET-15 provided opportunity for the delegates to exchange new
ideas and share experiences of research in their fields.
FEEDBACK:
Dignitaries present during 2-Day National Conference highly
appreciated the efforts.
Participants were much impressed by the management of the
conference being 1st National Conference.
Participants appreciated the ambiance of the campus, institute
building, Conference kit, quality of presentation, schedule and
arrangement as well as seminar hall and facilities in the hall.
Dignitaries and Participants also appreciated food during both
days of the conference.
