Principal’s Message
It’s hard to believe that the end of the school year is less than 2 months away. Although I will
not be at Rock Creek Valley ES next year, I am still working with staff to make plans for the start
of the coming school year, including: ordering materials, beginning our annual strategic
planning for school improvement, and making preliminary class placements. In early June,
teachers will meet together to begin this process of articulation by making class placements for
the coming school year. As always, we value parent input in this process so that we can
consider all aspects of students’ performance, personalities, and learning styles when we make
class placements. I invite you to share your input by filling out the attached parent input form
and returning it. You can do this by hand and send it back to school with your child, or you can
do this electronically and send it directly to me via email at
[email protected]. I also want you to know that I am available to meet with
you privately, or speak to you by phone, if there are personal or sensitive issues that you feel
we should be aware of when making preliminary class placement decisions. So, please share
your input – we value your perspective!
