Esta semana fue la semana de apreciación al personal de la escuela y otra vez el PTA organizó una
semana llena de actos de apreciación para el personal aquí en Rock Creek Valley ES. Pensando toda la
semana acerca de la apreciación y dándome cuenta que no hay compañero de la “semana de la
apreciacióna los padres” y pensé que tomaría esta oportunidad para hacerles saber a ustedes acerca de
lo que Julia y yo apreciamos acerca de ustedes como padres.
Nosotras apreciamos:
La colaboración que ustedes muestran en trabajar para hacer que RCV sea un grandioso lugar para
aprender y de actividades divertidas para la familia.
Ustedes dan una calurosa bienvenida a nuevas familias y niños quienes se han mudado a nuestra
comunidad.
El apoyo que ustedes muestran del programa instruccional asegurándose que su niño lea cada día y
complete la tarea asignada.
Su comunicación honesta cuando hay algo para celebrar y cuando hay algun problema que resolver y
corregir.
Su generosidad que usted comparte con todo nuestro personal.
La confianza que ha depositado en nosotros cada día que usted ha enviado a sus preciosos niños a
nuestra escuela.

Escuela de Verano
¡Nos estamos preparando para otro verano excitante en la Escuela de Verano de Rock Creek Valley!
¡Nuestro programa de cuatro semanas esta diseñado para enriquecer las habilidades de lectura y
escritura de los estudiantes mientras se divierten! Por favor vea la carta de invitación y el formulario
de registración abajo para mayores detalles. Hay un número limitado de vacantes para la escuela de
verano este año, debido a las limitaciones de espacio en el autobús para los viajes de paseo. Por favor
envíe en su formulario de registración y el pago (en efectivo o en cheque a nombre de Rock Creek

Venta de fotografías de clase
Hemos recibido un paquete extra de fotografías de clase. Si usted se perdió la oportunidad de ordenar
las fotografías de clase para su niño, nosotros tenemos un número limitado de fotografías disponibles
en la oficina de la escuela. Las fotografías de clase estan a $ 12 cada una. Si usted esta interesado en

Estamos necesitando madejas de lana para un proyecto de tejido, si usted tiene algunas para donar

¡Aprenda a manejar su propia bicicleta! Como se ha hecho en los pasados 9 años, el Sr. Hagai
Golan, antiguo alumno de RCV y papá de Adi y Gili, liderará el camino en enseñar esta gran técnica a
usted y/o sus niños. ¡Traiga a un amigo también!
¡Si! Hay un secreto que será revelado en como hacerlo. ¡Sin ruedas de entrenamiento! Sin presiones. Sin
correr y empujar. Sin sudar. Sin preocupaciones. Sin cargos (es totalmente gratis). Algunos estudiantes
aprenden a manejar en menos de 30 minutos – ¡libre de estrés!
Este simpático sistema ha sido usado por la Familia Golan por años y será compartido con usted. Venga

Dear Rock Creek Valley Families,
Your child is invited to participate in Rock Creek Valley’s 2015 summer school program! Our
four week, four day per week program is designed to help your child build his or her literacy
skills through reading a variety of text types and writing for a variety of purposes. Students will
engage in literacy work Monday through Wednesday and make connections to the reading and
writing they have done that week on Thursday on a fun field trip. Our small summer school
classes are taught by Rock Creek Valley teachers.
This summer, our program will run for four weeks, Monday-Thursday, from Monday, June 29
through Thursday, July 23. There is no summer school on Fridays. The hours will be
9:00-noon on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and 9:00-2:00 on Thursdays, when students
will go on field trips. There is no breakfast or lunch served during summer school, but students
will need to bring a bag lunch and drink on Thursdays for the field trips. There is no
transportation available for summer school. All families will need to arrange for their
own transportation to and from school. Summer school tuition is $350 for the full four-week
program.
There are a limited number of spaces in this summer’s program. In order to secure your space,
please complete the attached enrollment form and return it with your payment. Students will not
be registered until both the enrollment paperwork and tuition payment is returned, and space is
available on a first-come, first-served basis. Should your family need financial assistance to
help with the tuition payment, you will need to also complete the Application for Partial or
Full Waiver of Summer School Tuition and attach valid income documentation as
outlined on this form.

Spring Yard Sale
at
Rock Creek Valley
Spring Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. –
12:00 noon
We are renting out tables to individuals in the community.
There will also be an RCV table for donated items.
Proceeds from this table will go directly to the school.
Tables will rent for $20.00. Tables will be set up in the front parking lot. If
it rains, we will bring the yard sale indoors. If you would like to participate
please fill out the attached information and make a check payable to RCV for
$20.00 per table. Your table will be reserved for you on Saturday,
May 9th. You may begin setting up as early as 7:00 a.m.
Proceeds from the Table Rentals and the RCV Table will help support and
defray costs of student programs and activities.
Reservations will be accepted until Friday, May 8th, 2014 or until all tables
are reserved. We have 40 tables available, so it will be on a first come, first
served basis.
