Back to School Procedures/Information
School Begins - Monday, August 31, 2015
Arrival & Dismissal
 Students are expected to arrive at school between 9:10 a.m. and 9:25 a.m. Upon
arrival, students should line up outside of their classroom. Students may not arrive
prior to 9:10 a.m. as we do not have adequate supervision at that time.

Students arriving after 9:25 a.m. are considered late and must go to the office for a
late pass.

Dismissal will begin at 3:50 p.m. Please be sure you child knows how he/she will leave
school (walk, bus, car rider, etc.). This information must be provided to the teacher
as well. If there is ever a change to you child’s dismissal routine, please send a note
in explaining the change and/or call the school before the end of the day. If we do
not have your written/verbal acknowledgement of a change we will follow the typical
routine for your child.

Kindergarten & First Grade Parents – For the first week of school, please have your
child wear a name tag. Please include the following information: child’s name,
teacher’s name, child’s address, daytime telephone number, bus number/color, and
after school arrangements.

Kindergarten Students – Kindergarten students will be escorted to their classrooms
by our safety patrols. For the first week of school only parents may walk their
kindergarten students to their classrooms. At dismissal, kindergarten students will
be escorted by patrols to their bus or by their teacher to the walker dismissal area.

Safety
Due to our crowded hallways we are discouraging the use of rolling backpacks.
Absences
When your child is absent, please call the school at 301-571-6949 by 9:15 a.m. Please send a
note to school when he/she returns.

Friday – WG Cheese or Pepperoni Pizza OR General Tso’s Beef
