Parent-teacher conferences
Parent-teacher conferences will be held Wednesday, November 11 and
Thursday, November 12. The conferences are an important opportunity for
parents to spend some one-on-one time with their child’s teacher and to
New
discuss how they are doing in school. Conferences also can help parents and
H a m p s h i r e teachers find ways to work together to improve student learning. Please check
estates
to make sure you know the date and time for your conference. We have a
elementary
packed schedule of conferences, so please be on time of your conference.

This year, New Hampshire Estates is implementing a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports
(PBIS) program, which is designed to create safer and more effective schools through establishing clear
behavioral expectations and providing positive recognition for appropriate student behaviors. We are
teaching students to be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn in all school settings. Research shows
that to improve behavior, students should hear four positive comments about their behavior for each
critical comment. As part of the program, students earn Buzz Bucks for demonstrating respectful,
responsible and ready-to-learn behaviors. Students may use their Buzz Bucks to choose rewards such as
pencils, erasers, lunch bunch, temporary line leader, or even principal for an afternoon.
