Extended Learning Opportunities Summer School
July 5 through July 29, 2016
Extended Learning Opportunities - Summer Adventures in
Learning (ELO SAIL) is a free four-week summer program that
features a four-hour instructional day of reading, language arts, and
mathematics to students entering kindergarten, first and second grade.
This year our ELO program will be at nearby JoAnn Leleck
Elementary School at Broad Acres. Montgomery County Public Schools
will provide free bus transportation to and from the program from
established neighborhood bus stops. Breakfast and lunch will be served
to each child. This summer program will help make sure your child is
ready for school in the fall. Registration forms will be going home on
Monday. Please register your child as soon as possible.
April 2016
NHE Kindergarten Orientation will take place
on Thursday April, 28 and Friday April 29.
If you have a child who will be attending Kindergarten in the fall, it is very
important to come to Kindergarten orientation. Please call the New
Hampshire Estates office and speak to Ms. Romero-Cruz to make an
appointment for April 28 or 29. Even if your child went to Pre-kindergarten
or Head Start at New Hampshire Estates, you still need to register them at
Kindergarten Orientation. At Kindergarten Orientation, you can register
your child for kindergarten, get information about medical requirements,
Linkages to Learning, the PTA and much more. You and your child will
also get to meet the Kindergarten teachers and visit the kindergarten
classrooms. You can also register your child for summer school, called
ELO, which stands for Extended Learning Opportunities. If your child
attends summer school, they will be much better prepared for Kindergarten.
