ATTENTION SECOND GRADE PARENTS!
We have a wonderful opportunity this Thursday for second-grade parents interested in learning more about
Oak View, where their students will be attending third grade next year. We will have a parent field trip to Oak
View! We will provide bus transportation from NHE to Oak View. Parents will meet at NHE 9:30 a.m. and
leave for Oak View shortly thereafter. Parents who wish to obtain their own transportation can meet at Oak
View at 9:45. Victor Santiago, our parent community coordinator, and I will be accompanying parents on the
field trip. At Oak View, parents will meet Principal Jeff Cline, Assistant Principal Vernon Jones, and other
members of the Oak View Staff. Parents will receive information about programs and instruction at Oak View.
They will be able to visit third grade classes and tour the school. The program at Oak View will conclude at
11:30 a.m., and the bus will bring parents back to New Hampshire Estates. NHE and Oak View are working
together to build a strong partnership and this is the first year that we have offered a parent field trip to
Oak View for parents of second graders!

School Improvement Plan for 2016-2017 School Year
We are looking for parent input as we design our School Improvement Plan for the next school year. Our School Improvement Plan
sets goals and priorities for our work, and outlines the steps we will take to help us reach our goals. The School Improvement Team
meets monthly and for three days over the summer to work on this plan. It is important that we hear from all stakeholders as we
develop this plan. Please let me know if you would be interested in being part of this work.
