First Grade Family Learning Night
Our First Grade Family Learning Night was a fantastic success! On a cold and windy night, 60 first graders and their
families came to participate. This represented about half of the entire first grade. Thank you to all the parents who
attended. The students played games like sight word Bingo, created stories, and read inside large camping tents that
had been set up in the cafeteria. Each student received a copy of the classic book Swimmy. For the first time this year,
we were able to offer dinner (pizza) to students and parents. We plan to be able to continue to offer dinner at the rest
of our Family Learning Nights this year. Our Family Reading Night is scheduled for March 17 at 6:30 p.m., and our
Family Math Night will be on April 28. We hope to see you there!
