Advisory Group Meeting – January 25, 2016
The next WIC Advisory Group (AG) meeting will be Monday, January 25th in downtown St. Paul.
This will be the first meeting for several new representatives. A list of the 2016 Advisory Group
Members is included in this Wednesday Update.
Tentative agenda for the January 2016 meeting:
 Welcome & Introductions.
 WIC Everyday Heroes.
This is to follow-up on discussion at the October meeting. AG members will identify a workgroup
that will make adjustments to the Award process to address challenges encountered.
 Nutrition Education (NE) Innovations.
This is to follow-up on discussions at the October meeting, at which AG members talked about
how NE in WIC could be more innovative and engaging. AG members wanted to get input from
their staff to bring back to the AG to share.
 Marketing WIC to County Boards.
AG members will share with each other and with WIC Leadership Team, ways they have
successfully “marketed WIC” to their County Boards - sharing stories, news, health outcomes;
how the counties benefit from WIC.
