Orientation to REDCap
for Reporting Local Public Health Act Performance Measures
This guide describes the REDCap interface to new users and instructs how to navigate through REDCap, in order to enter
data on Local Public Health Act Performance Measures.
WHAT YOU SEE WHEN
YOU LOG IN
Upon logging into REDCap the following screen will appear:
My Projects tab is the only tab on this page that you will need to use. All of the
REDCap projects you have access to will appear here.
Ignore the Home, Request New Project, Training Resources, Help & FAQ, and
Send-It tabs. These tabs contain REDCap features not monitored by MDH.

INSIDE THE REDCAP PROJECT
The following homepage will appear once you enter one of your REDCap projects. All of the Data Entry Forms you will need
to view, enter, and update data are in the left panel. The tabs in the middle of the screen and the rest of the links in the left
panel will not be used for data entry. Ignore these links.
Once you select the form you wish to view, a blank form will appear in the middle of the screen. This is where you will work
to enter and update data.
