Impression at the first sight
• Getting impression of auditees in the first sight is important to build
good relationship.
• Most people still look at your appearance before having (good)
relationship , especially in business community;
– your hair
– your dress
– your accessories such as, shoes, glasses, watch, pen, belt, ring,
bracelet, necklace, and earring, even perfume/cologne.
– your vehicle

Communication skill
• There is an idiom saying that “ you will know the value of
people when they are talking”
– The way of talking
• Voice
• Words/sentences used
• Style – eye contact, hand use, the way of sitting and position
of legs,
– Content of the talk
– Clear ideas
– Supporting argument

Exercise
• Suppose that all students currently are in a business
community.
• Each student should assess his/her friend’s appearance
and style of talking, then make suggestions necessary

Demonstrate your integrity, consistence, and persistence

Always trying to get a solution of how to solve the problems rather
talking about problems themselves and whom should be blamed.

Showing empathy
• Trying to be as the auditees
– Understand the condition that auditees faced when they were
dealing with the problem
– Be a good listener
• Try to get proper solutions as they should be
• Always be tactful

Adapting auditees’ culture
• Follow the auditees’ rules and regulation such as;
– Wearing ID card
– Working hours
– Dress code
– Work procedures including bureaucratic ones
• If you intend to set up different rules and regulations including
procedures of the audit process, discuss them with auditees before
they are effectively applied
• Understanding about auditees’ perception, value, belief, and
behavior
