The Metamorphosis Project 2014 Learning Conference July 21‐23 Mountain Brook High School MB‐S14246 New Ways of Thinking about ADHD Wednesday, July 23 8:00‐11:00 a.m. MBHS Target Audience: Teachers K‐12, Administrators, Special Teachers ADHD has always been a public controversy. Recent dramatic increases in diagnosis of ADHD have raised fair questions about appropriate diagnosis and treatment. On a practical level, families of ADHD students struggle, as do teachers and school administrators, all of whom must deal with students with ADHD. Most importantly, the individuals who have ADHD continue to struggle with significant impairments. In this session, we will look at some of the new ways of understanding ADHD, along with some practical considerations for managing it in schools. Presenter: Dr. Dale Wisely
