In September, students will: Identify and describe the position and motion of objects Explain how tools, materials, and skills are used to make things and carry out tasks Social Studies In September, students will identify and explain: Practices associated with democratic principles Roles and responsibilities of effective citizens Individual and group contributions to the common good Roles and responsibilities of local government leaders in a democracy Special Notes Thank you to everyone that donated items to our classrooms! We appreciate the tissues, wipes, soap, etc. Please remember to send a water bottle with students. The water fountain is too far away to send students out for drinks during class. If you have not purchased a student planner and wish to do so, the cost is $2.75. Please return emergency contact forms and Chromebooks forms as soon as possible. Engaged Learners Future Leaders September Newsletter Third Grade Writing and Language Students begin their first formal writing piece during the first week of school. Each child is writing a personal narrative that depicts one of their positive character traits.
