Thank you for a wonderful year! We have
enjoyed working with your children very much!

practicing math facts over the summer. Enjoy
your summer!!
Writing and Language
During the months of May and June, students will continue to apply the research and writing skills we’ve
learned this year in writing opinion and informative pieces.
Science
During the months of May and June, students will continue to learn about natural resources and the
production process. Students will also learn about waste, recycling, and plant decomposition.
Social Studies
During the months of May and June, students will learn about producers, transportation, specialization,
and communication in relation to economics and its impact on individuals, families, communities, and
the environment.
Notes and Reminders
 The weather continues to be inconsistent, as do temperatures within the building. Please make
sure that students dress in layers so that they are comfortable inside and out.
 Remind students to bring a water bottle to class if they wish to have a drink during the day. The
water fountain is too far away to allow for more than one trip a day.
 Please continue to have your child practice the recorder at home. The spring concert is on May
24th, and the third graders will be performing in front of the school, family, and friends. The
evening concert is at Clarksburg High School, and students should arrive at 6:30 pm.
