Please help if you can by sending in glue
sticks and pencils for our students. Also,
Magic Erasers, any brand, and sanitizing
wipes are also very useful for cleaning.
In Reading, students will work on
describing story elements. For setting, for
example, students need to tell where and
when the story takes place. They need to
give details about the place and to avoid
“retelling” the story on these questions.
In Math, students will continue to
practice addition strategies such as
doubles, doubles plus one, and making tens.
The goal is to increase the speed, or
fluency, with which students can solve
problems. Students will learn to solve many
kinds of word problems, even ones with
missing numbers.
In Writing, students will express an
opinion and give support for their position
in a book review. In Science, students will
study the concept of motion. In Social
Studies, we will continue to examine aspects
of different cultures.
