Now that winter is here, please send
children in with warm coats, hats, and
gloves. Students only stay in at recess when
the temperature is below freezing. We
welcome donations for school supplies,
especially pencils, crayons, and glue sticks.

Report Card Prep
In The Classroom
In Math, students will use problemsolving strategies to add and subtract one
and two digit numbers. They will also be
adding three numbers (sums to 20).
In Reading, students will focus on
identifying characters, setting, and major
events in stories using key details. In
addition, comprehension skills of texts and
the central message will be addressed.
Teachers will begin midyear reading testing
in January. Current reading levels will be
determined to assess student progress.
Students should continue to read for at
least 15 minutes each night and can
complete their Book-It forms for FREE
PIZZA coupons to use at Pizza Hut.
In Science, students will work with the
classification of materials using magnets.
In Social Studies, students will be
studying the differences between the past
and the present (people and objects).
